    I am subscribed to quite a few channels so I may receive up to 10 notifications daily, therefore, I prefer videos of 15 to 20 minutes duration to make my viewing time manageable. Your lady looked as if she was doing very well for someone who hasn't been riding a bike for a while. We all get a bit rusty after a lengthy time off bike. Look forward to seeing more of your content.

    I was seriously considering this as my first big bike after obtaining my full license but it went with the cb1100sf x11 from honda. In my opinion kind of a forgotten bike amongst the 90s muscle bike crew because it was kinda weirdly styled not really retro not really modern but it delivers exceptionally well when riding. Freight train levels of torque and a substantial amount of horsepower and with the fuel injection it makes it a (for me) superior bike than the zrx1100 xjr1200/1300 or the bandit. I would only consider the gsx1400 as an upgrade over the x11 since it has more retro styling and even more torque especially when you tune it a little. Would love to see a review on an x11 from you! They shouldnt be hard to come by and i'd love to hear a comparison to all the other muscle bikes. Enjoyed the video, cheers!

    Got a 2008 1250GT 6 weeks ago mint showroom condition Suzuki blue. Got it for real cheap 3000CAN dollars. Best bike i've owned yet. Use it every day if not hard rain. Already put 6k on it since. The torque makes me so happy, i have the MiVV GP exhaust on it. The snap crackle pop sound when downshifting or coasting after acceleration is second to none. 🏍️ You make a fely nice review and i envy you sound setup for the exhaust. Ride safe 👌

    An excellent review. I'm in the market for a sports tourer. I toured in Australia on a Kwaka ZR7, and it had appalling cornering. Only when I owned a Fazer 600 did I realise how fun and smooth cornering can be. It seems to me the Blackbird might be similar on the tight country corners to my ZR7.

    • @TheLoneTrader
      @TheLoneTrader 2 месяца назад

      It can hustle well but small roads are not where the Blackbird is most fun IMHO. You can just feel the weight, no matter how well it hides it.

    Nice commentary and review. Hope your 40mph wobble has sorted, mine won’t do that ever. But same with the fans here on my 01 Blackbird. I was thinking about changing the bike as I was looking for something more hooligan orientated, but give the Blackbird a change of mental approach, (£5) 6mm shock spacer, knee sliders on and decent tyres, it is a brilliant scratcher on A and B roads. Nothing comes close for value for money and adaptability to roles. Rectifier and stator issues can be solved, it’s only real weak point other than weight. I just love it.

    I've never understood why anyone cares about the "dry weight" spec. Unless for the purpose of shipping costs where every gram costs money, I don't see how a "dry weight" spec is relevant. Under NO circumstances is a bikes engine power competing against a "dry" load that it's trying to move. I vote that we completely drop the "dry weight" spec as it's pretty much useless.

    • @TheLoneTrader
      @TheLoneTrader 2 месяца назад

      Valid point. Maybe fuel can make an appreciable difference, if barely. I also never like crank horsepower figures. They're not applicable to the actual experience on the bike. Maybe I should make a point of only wet weight and rear wheel HP figures.

    I bought a brand new Bandit GSF1200S in '01 and it was the most fun bike I ever had ridden . It wasn't the fastest or quickest , but it would take me anywhere I wanted to go and comfortable doing it . I put a couple of performance modifications recommended by my buddy that was a pit crew mechanic for the Suzuka GP Circuit for Suzuki . These mods woke this engine up with a Yoshimura carbon fiber exhaust system . Wish I never sold that bike . It was sweet ! Later on I bought a '02 Naked version and blew it up . I bought a new engine and modded the engine and it would wheelie any time I twisted the throttle . Loved this one too . Thanks for the video .

    Second best honda ever first is nsr 400 2 stroke. Honda builds great 400 bikes. Had 75 400 four super sport in 78 loved it. Perfectvsoze and power for street. Anything bigger is ego cause a good 400 four is all you need for streets. If you race better bikes but for street anything bigger is wasted on 99% of riders as you would never reach a modern 400 fours limits and you know it, if you are honest. 600 and up is ego no where on street do you need 160mph bike. Lighter smaller is faster evetywhere but long straights

    What's crazy right now is that vfr750's and vfr800's are going cheap as chips right now, and vfr400's are going for more it seems than their larger counterparts. Seeing the same with old fireblades too. Seems like riders and collectors are favouring the smaller bikes, I can only assume for the same reason I'm after an old 400. They rev like crazy, and you can use all the power on public roads safely and legally. Even a 900cc fireblade or vfr 750 with a top speed of 170+mph seems a little silly unless you're going on German autobahn or tracks. On UK roads/motorways what are you going to do? Rev all the way in first, then shift up throb fears while dropping revs and just cruise? It's fine I guess, but I'd rather have the mc22 or a 400rr or vfr400 and enjoying making it work a bit harder.
